AccuFlip Digital Prints ("AccuFlip," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of our users. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store passwords in plain text.

1.2 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account number, or other financial account details. We receive only a Stripe customer ID and transaction confirmation from Stripe.

1.3 Usage Data

We collect data about how you use the Service, including worksheet topics and grade levels selected, types of content generated, number of generations, and feature usage patterns. This data is used to improve the Service and is not linked to your identity in any aggregate analysis.

1.4 Student Interaction Data

When students complete interactive activities, quizzes, or games through access codes, we collect responses, scores, and time-on-task data. This data is associated with anonymous access codes only. We do not collect student names, email addresses, or any other personal information from students.

1.5 Cookies and Session Data

We use a single httpOnly session cookie (af_session) to maintain your login state. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Service, including generating worksheets and processing payments.
• To maintain your account and authenticate your sessions.
• To improve the Service by analyzing anonymized, aggregate usage patterns (such as popular topics and grade levels) to develop better content templates.
• To communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.

3. What We Do Not Do With Your Information

• We do not sell your email address or any personal information to third parties.
• We do not share your personal information with advertisers.
• We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
• We do not use personally identifiable information in aggregate data analysis.
• We do not use student interaction data for any purpose other than providing the Service and educator-facing reports.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

We share data with third parties only as necessary to operate the Service:

• Stripe: receives payment data you provide directly during checkout. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Anthropic: receives text prompts (topic, grade level, worksheet type) to generate content. No personal information or student data is included in prompts sent to Anthropic.
• Cloudflare: hosts the Service and stores data (user accounts, worksheets, session data) on Cloudflare infrastructure. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AccuFlip, our users, or the public.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

AccuFlip does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Students access educational content through anonymous access codes and are never required to create an account or provide personal information. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided personal information to AccuFlip, please contact us at support@accuflipdigitalprints.com and we will promptly delete that information.

6. Student Educational Records (FERPA)

When used by schools or educational institutions, AccuFlip functions as a "school official" with a "legitimate educational interest" under FERPA. We commit to the following:

• Student interaction data is stored by access code only, not by student name or ID.
• The mapping between access codes and student identities is maintained by the educator, not AccuFlip.
• We use student data solely to provide the Service and generate educator reports.
• We do not disclose student data to third parties except as required to operate the Service.
• Educators may request deletion of all student data associated with their access codes.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated worksheets and associated data are retained in your library until you delete them or close your account. Student interaction data is retained for the current school year and may be deleted upon educator request. Upon account closure, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, though anonymized aggregate data may be retained.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), httpOnly session cookies, hashed passwords, and secure cloud infrastructure provided by Cloudflare. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your generated content from your library.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or through a notice on the Service. The effective date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
